Event of the week in London: J. Cole at The O2 (19 to 20 October 2026)
J. Cole plays two nights at The O2 in Greenwich on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October 2026, with both shows starting at 18:30. It has the highest Demand Intent Score of any event in London this week, at 60. Across the two nights we estimate 38,000 attendees and a total revenue opportunity of £7.5m.
All figures here are ActDIvate model estimates as of 16 October 2026, with revenue in pounds sterling. They are forecasts, not ticket sales, and they can change as the week goes on. Check STREAM for the latest numbers before you lock in plans.

What the numbers tell you
Monday is the visitor night. We expect 9,000 people from outside London at the first show, against 5,400 at the second. That is the main reason the hotel opportunity is £0.8m on Monday and £0.5m on Tuesday. If you only have budget or staff to push hard on one night, make it Monday.
This is a public transport crowd. We expect 18,000 of Monday's 20,000 fans and 15,300 of Tuesday's 18,000 to travel by public transport. Most will use North Greenwich station on the Jubilee line, with river and bus services taking the rest. The pressure comes in two waves: before the 18:30 start, and in a short, sharp peak when the show ends.
Spend per head is high on both nights. Average spend is about £195 on Monday and £200 on Tuesday. Tuesday's crowd is smaller, but food and drink is worth an estimated £0.5m on each night, so do not plan Tuesday as a quiet night.
These are weeknights. Early-week trade is normally quiet, so this demand will stand out against your usual Monday and Tuesday. Rotas and orders built on a typical week will be too light.
How to plan for it
Hotels
- Review Monday 19 October rates now, especially for properties in Greenwich, Canary Wharf and along the Jubilee line. Visitors from outside London will be looking for a bed close to the venue or on a direct route.
- Watch pick-up for Monday daily. If it is ahead of your normal pace, hold rate rather than discounting late.
- Offer a two-night option for fans going to both shows, and late check-out on Tuesday for Monday guests.
- Staff the front desk for late arrivals after the show, and make sure the bar or room service can serve a late crowd.
Food and drink
- The pre-show rush runs from late afternoon to just before 18:30. Have your full team in place by mid-afternoon if you are near the venue or on the route in.
- Simplify the menu for that window: fewer dishes, faster service, pre-batched drinks.
- Order stock for two nights, not one. Tuesday's food and drink opportunity is the same size as Monday's.
- Decide in advance whether you will trade after the show. Fans heading for the last trains will want something quick, not a sit-down meal.
Transport
- Plan for the end of the show, not just the start. Arrivals spread over a few hours, but most people leave at once.
- Private hire and taxi operators should position drivers just outside the immediate venue area, where pick-ups are easier, ahead of the finish.
- Monday is the harder night for the network across London. Tottenham Hotspur play Coventry City at 20:00 the same evening, with a further 62,000 people heading to north London.
Retail
- Visitors arriving from outside London will spend time in the city before the show. Shops in central London and around Greenwich should expect extra afternoon footfall on Monday in particular.
- Staff up for the afternoon and early evening, and put visitor-friendly lines near the front: essentials, gifts and things that are easy to carry to a gig.
- If you are close to the venue, consider opening later on Monday to catch the pre-show crowd.
The rest of London's week
J. Cole leads on demand intent, but football brings bigger crowds this week:
- Monday 19 October, 20:00: Tottenham Hotspur v Coventry City, Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Attendance 62,000, revenue opportunity £10.3m.
- Saturday 24 October, 15:00: Arsenal v Everton, Premier League, Emirates Stadium. Attendance 60,700, revenue opportunity £10.6m.
- Kick-off 17:30: Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League, Stamford Bridge. Attendance 40,000, revenue opportunity £7.6m.
- Kick-off 12:45: Tottenham Hotspur Women v Arsenal Women, Women's Super League, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Attendance 20,000, revenue opportunity £1.8m.
Monday evening is the one to watch: a concert in south-east London and a Premier League match in north London start within 90 minutes of each other. If you run staff, stock or vehicles across the city, plan Monday as a big night, not a normal start to the week.
