London's two-week spotlight: the biggest events from 2 to 15 November 2026

The first half of November 2026 is packed in London. Two England rugby internationals at Twickenham, England's football team at Wembley, World Travel Market at ExCeL and a run of big nights at The O2 all fall between Monday 2 and Sunday 15 November. Here is what is coming, when demand peaks, and what to do about it.

All figures are ActDIvate model estimates as of 16 October 2026, with revenue in pounds sterling. They are forecasts and they can change, so check STREAM for the latest numbers as each date gets closer.

Where demand peaks

Tuesday 3 November is a double. World Travel Market opens at ExCeL on the same day Stevie Wonder plays his first night at The O2. Both venues are in east London, both draw a high-spending crowd, and three in four World Travel Market attendees come from outside London. Event-driven hotel demand that day is an estimated £13.2m.

Rugby fills both weekends. England play Australia on Sunday 8 November and Japan on Saturday 14 November, with 80,000 and 82,000 people at Twickenham. Saturday 7 November, the day before the Australia match, is one of the busiest hotel-demand days of the month at £15.6m. Saturday 14 November follows at £13.8m.

Thursday 12 November is the biggest weeknight. 90,000 people at Wembley for England v Croatia, half of them visitors, plus 18,000 at The O2 for Hatsune Miku. Event-driven hotel demand is an estimated £13.6m, and the hotel opportunity from the Wembley match alone is £3.9m.

Sunday 15 November is small but valuable. Solana Breakpoint brings an estimated 7,000 people, but it carries an £8.2m revenue opportunity and 80% are visitors. Muse opens a two-night run at The O2 the same day.

The month in context

We estimate event-driven hotel demand for London of £277.6m in November, from 5,863 events and 3.1m visiting attendees. That is below October (£293.3m) but above September (£270.7m). The busiest hotel-demand day of the month falls after this two-week window: Saturday 21 November, at £17.6m. Saturday 28 November follows at £14.0m.

How to plan for it

Hotels

  • Set rates for 3, 7, 12 and 14 November now. These are the dates where event demand is highest in the window, and visitor shares are high.
  • For World Travel Market, expect business travellers, many of whom book early and stay more than one night. Protect inventory near ExCeL and along the Elizabeth line and DLR rather than selling it cheaply in advance.
  • For the rugby, think about the night before as well as the match day. South-west London and well-connected central hotels will feel it most.
  • Thursday 12 November is a weeknight with a visitor-heavy football crowd. Do not price it like a normal Thursday.

Food and drink

  • Rugby crowds tend to make a day of it. If you trade in Richmond, Twickenham or on the routes in, staff for the whole afternoon and evening on 8 and 14 November.
  • Wembley on 12 November kicks off at 19:45, so the pre-match rush runs from late afternoon. Prepare quick, simple menus.
  • Near ExCeL, World Travel Market means weekday lunch and after-work trade from a business crowd. Think lunch capacity, group bookings and early evening drinks.
  • For The O2 nights, average spend for Stevie Wonder is about £245 a head. Plan stock and staff for a full pre-show rush on 3 and 5 November.

Transport

  • Plan driver and staff cover around exit times at Twickenham and Wembley, when tens of thousands of people leave at once.
  • Thursday 12 November has two large evening events on opposite sides of London, at Wembley and The O2. Expect pressure across the network, not just at one venue.
  • On 3 November, ExCeL and The O2 are both busy, so east London routes will carry business visitors and concert fans on the same day.

Retail

  • Visitors from outside London shop before and after events. Central London stores should expect extra visitor footfall on the rugby weekends and around World Travel Market.
  • Match days bring families and groups in team colours. Stock gifts, essentials and easy-to-carry lines, and staff tills for the hours before kick-off.
  • If you are near a venue, check whether opening later on event nights pays for itself in extra trade.
